The best €1.50 you’ll spend in Munich – St Peter’s Church Tower

It costs €1.50 to climb more than 300 narrow stairs in Old St Peters church. Sound like a deal? In Munich, it is.

The inside of the church is worth a visit: the tiara which sits on the altar statue is removed whenever there’s a papal interregnum, such as the time before Pope Benedict — a Munich local — was elected pope in 2005.

But the real deal is at the top of the tower. The rewards are maybe best described by photos.
